According to the Washington Post on 25 March, 2015, Google makes most of its close ties to the White House, averaging one visit per week to the White House to liaise with administration officials.

Brody Mullin at the Wall Street Journal reports on the close relationship between Google and the Obama administration, including while the search giant faced an antitrust probe from the Federal Trade Commission (motto: Protecting America's Consumers).

"Google’s access to high-ranking Obama administration officials during a critical phase of the antitrust probe is one sign of the Internet giant’s reach in Washington," Mullin's report said.
